Meet Leré

My name is Leré Robinson. I’ve spent over 20 years helping people turn from dieting and denial to experiencing the benefits of balance and health. I believe the Lord has given me the vehicle of wellness to share the love of Christ with others.

OUT OF AFRICA

It’s been 12 years since we first arrived in the United States from South Africa. For the first nine months I cried. I felt alienated, far from my family, and desperate to find purpose. Eventually, I felt the Lord leading me to pray and fast for 21 days. Three days after the fast ended, the Lord gave me 2 Samuel 7:3 – “Nathan replied to the king, ‘Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the LORD is with you.”’ The Lord challenged me in a foreign land to be who He called me to be.

I stepped out by faith and planned a wellness talk to be hosted in our little rental home. Because 17 ladies unexpectedly RSVP’d, we had to change venues, so we moved the talk to a neighbor’s home. The rest is history! Amazing things happen when we entrust our talents and gifts into the hands of the Lord, and then dare to step out of our comfort zones.

First and foremost, I love Jesus Christ. I believe when you focus on Him, your steps will align with His, in His time! Likewise, I believe this spiritual principle works the same with physical nutrition. If we focus on eating good foods, then good health, a stable weight, and overall wellness will fall in line too.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

My personal journey to health and wellness began 22 years ago when I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The disease became severe enough to warrant hospitalization. Shortly thereafter, I met a nutritionist in South Africa’s capital city of Pretoria, who was hosting a Bible study at her home. As I walked through the door, she says she felt the Lord impressing on her heart to sponsor me to do nutrition classes.

Since then, I’ve never looked back, though I do spend a lot of time looking up and praising the Lord who has brought me this far. As a nutrition consultant, blessed with widely sought-after wellness wisdom and instruction, my purpose is to educate folks on how to make healthy food choices and prepare them in a way that benefits – and is enjoyed by – the whole family.

THE OLD RED BARN

Reconstruct, redesign, and redecorate. A vision God gave me and my husband, Eddie, almost four years ago was to repurpose the old red barn on our fixer-upper property, breathe life back into it, and convert it into a place where physical and spiritual wellness could be taught with excellence, and where lives could be changed forever.

Lere’s Barn opened and was dedicated to the Lord on September 29, 2018. It stands as a testament to our faith; a place of calm where people enter with wonder and leave inspired.

In a warm and comfortable setting, I teach my valued guests how to make nutrient-dense salads, vitamin-packed smoothies, and delicious vegetable dishes. A sweetness fills the air as I demonstrate how to prepare some of my favorite, and completely healthy, desserts. I custom-design my presentations to meet the unique needs of every group in which I have the privilege of working.

Lere’s Barn is quickly proving to be a place where the community can gather to share and enjoy healthy food. My passion is helping people develop a healthy, balanced lifestyle that enhances their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

As I continue to walk this journey with the Lord, I will not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every platform He allows me to step onto, every door He opens, I will seek to proclaim Him well without any reservation knowing I belong to Him.

Summer is approaching and with it an abundant harvest of fruits and vegetables. Here are my favorite smoothie and salad recipes. Enjoy!
